A woman, who was recently seen in shocking footage pleading for help as she appeared to be abducted from a home in Kansas, has been confirmed safe by law enforcement.

On a Tuesday afternoon, around 3 p.m., police received a distressing phone call from a woman claiming she was the individual captured in the harrowing doorbell video, which showed her being forcefully taken away by a man near a residence in Wichita. The Wichita Police Department subsequently released a statement detailing the situation.
Authorities quickly located her and arranged for her to be taken to City Hall for an interview as a victim. The woman has been identified as a 35-year-old local resident, and the unsettling video was recorded early Sunday at approximately 2 a.m. According to police, this incident is being investigated as a potential case of domestic violence, involving her boyfriend as the alleged perpetrator. Fortunately, authorities have reported that she sustained no serious injuries.
The alarming incident captured the attention of the homeowner, who noticed the possible abduction via their doorbell camera footage. In the distressing clip, the woman can be heard crying out a man’s name multiple times while he forcibly carried her away. The police made a public plea for assistance in identifying both the man and the woman featured in the video, emphasizing their commitment to her safety. Police Chief Joe Sullivan underscored the urgency of the situation in a statement issued earlier on Tuesday.
In their efforts to obtain more information, law enforcement had even announced a $2,000 reward for any tips leading to the identification of the woman or her circumstances. Thankfully, the Wichita Police Department expressed gratitude towards the public for sharing the video and still images, which they believe led the woman to contact them and reveal her identity.
